This is my first in a series of guitarists that I admire for their quality guitar work and my inspiration to learn to play the guitar.
Scotty Moore, one of the greatest guitarist of Rock and Roll is one of the talented guitarists that I admire. If you're no familiar with Scotty Moore, he was Elvis Presley's during the RCA Victors recordings until Elvis began doing Hollywood movies. His most familiar guitar solos were awesomely executed in "Jailhouse Rock" and "Heartbreak Hotel". His playing style incorporates the influences of Jazz and Country music.
Moore used various guitars during his career. He played the Gibson ES-295 with Presley. He would later switch to the Gibson L-5 and finally the Gibson Super 400 (see photo at left).
You can read more about Scotty Moore at his website.
